About Us

 Christine Smith;  I am a  Broker with Clairwood Real Estate Corporation and  with my business partner Emma Baker.  I came to Canada from England in 1976 and lived and worked in downtown Toronto until 2003 when I moved to the Collingwood area.  I didn't know anyone in the area but came up for a day to look around, loved it and bought a home and moved in within 30 days!  It was the easiest move ever. Most people in the area have moved from somewhere else so you have a lot in common with everyone you meet and it is very easy to meet and make friends here. Although it is a slower pace than Toronto, we have the fine restaurants, theatre, cinemas not to mention the winter sports and my favourite..Georgian Bay.  There is always something to do and it is a very healthy and fun lifestyle.  It is a great place to move to whether you are young or old or in between!  Young families are moving here at a fast rate and Emma works very closely with people with young children as she has Miles 8 and Penny 5 and is up to date with what is happening in the schools in the area.  Many clients have remarked that they are so grateful for her guidance and patience while looking for the right home.  Emma and her family moved directly from London, England 5 years ago.  She had visited the area as a youngster and had allways longed to move here.

As you can imagine, we both LOVE the area and it's people.  We know our area well and and both have knowledge when it comes to buying country properties...we both have wells and septics!
