The versatile Big Berkey water filter is the ideal system for use at home with small or medium sized families, travel, outdoor activities or during unexpected emergencies.

This powerful system purifies both treated water and untreated raw water from such sources as remote lakes, streams, stagnant ponds and water supplies in foreign countries, where regulations may be substandard at best.  Big Berkey water filters are perfect for everyday use, outdoor activities and a must in hostile environments where electricity, water pressure or treated water may not be available.

Proven History

The Berkey system’s high quality and effectiveness has stood the test of time. First ordered by the Royal House in England, it’s also been used by relief organizations such as Unicef, the Peace Corps, and Red Cross Societies Internationally. What’s more, Berkey home water filter systems have been used for over 150 years by missionaries, explorers and relief workers in over 140 countries around the world.

The Big Berkey water filtration system removes pathogenic bacteria, cysts and parasites entirely and extracts harmful chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides, VOC’s, organic solvents, radon 222 and trihalomethanes.  It also reduces nitrates, nitrites and unhealthy minerals such as lead and mercury.  This system is so powerful it can remove red food coloring from water without removing the beneficial minerals your body needs.  Virtually no other system can duplicate this performance.

Constructed of highly polished 304 stainless steel, the system comes complete with two purification elements and utilizes the latest technological advances.  This system has a storage capacity of about 8.5 liters  (2.25 gallons) and when in use it stands 49 cms (19.25?) in height with a diameter of 22 cms (8.5?).  The upper chamber nests within the lower chamber for transport and stands only 33 cms (13?) in height.

Configured with two Black Berkey® purification elements the system will purify up to 13.3 liters (3 1/2 Gallons) per hour*.  This system can be expanded to use four purification elements and is capable of purifying up to 26.5 liters (7 Gallons) per hour*.

*Flow rate calculated with upper chamber full to top. Flow rate decreases as water level declines.

Warranty:

The manufacturer, New Millennium Concepts, Ltd., warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 6 months from date of purchase.  Black Berkey purification elements have a two-year prorated warranty calculated in six months intervals.  New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. will replace or repair any product that it deems is not properly functioning during the stated warranty period.
