Company History

Ary VanderMeer, founder of VanderMeer Homes Ltd. has been in the building industry since he was 20 years old. Ary loves his trade, envisioning a structure on paper and then see it arise from the ground until it finally becomes the home of a happy family, is what gives him so much satisfaction and motivation. Building and living in so many of has own homes has giving home the opportunity to see, first hand, how homes behave over time. Allowing him to learn the best methods and practices to keep your home looking new.

For the first ten years Ary was a framer. His aspirations to become an entrepreneur of his own right were so apparent that he went on to start his own business. Ary entered into a business partnership and for many years built countless quality homes in his 'backyard' in the Simcoe and Georgian Bay area, covering the towns of  Barrie, Wasaga Beach, Collingwood and Stayner.

In 1994 Ary founded VanderMeer Homes Ltd, giving him the opportunity to apply his own high standards of work ethic, craftmenship and relationship, allowing him to serve his clients to the best of his ability. Quality homes built by VanderMeer Homes Ltd have been in high demand, and the company has grown ever since.

Ary and his wife Martha, who is the office manager of the company, along with their 3 sons, build a highly successful team that strives hard to deliver quality and customer satisfaction day in and day out.

Ary strongly believes in long lasting business relationships. Mutual respect and dedication to team work mean that VanderMeer Homes works with the same contractors and sub contractors whenever possible. Most of the team partners have been 'on board' since the beginning.
